Rotenone

Inhibitor of mitochondrial electron transport at NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase. It is readily absorbed through the exoskeletons of arthropods, but poorly absorbed cutaneously or from the gastrointestinal tract of mammals. Rotenone is used to induce a Parkinson-like syndrome as an experimental model in rats. Inhibitor of mitochondrial electron transport. Neurotoxic agent that can produce a Parkinson-like condition as an animal model for study of etiology and interventions.

Paclitaxel

Paclitaxel has been used to study its effects on tumor regression in mouse models of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma[1]. Paclitaxel has also been used as an internal standard for chromatographic assays of docetaxel[3]. Furthermore, paclitaxel has been used to analyze its effects on Caenorhabditis elegans embryos[2].

NIMH Repository and Genomics Resources

Collaborative venture between the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and several academic institutions. Repository facilitates psychiatric genetic research by providing patient and control samples and phenotypic data for wide-range of mental disorders and Stem Cells.Stores biosamples, genetic, pedigree and clinical data collected in designated NIMH-funded human subject studies. RGR database likewise links to other repositories holding data from same subjects, including dbGAP, GEO and NDAR. Allows to access these data and biospecimens (e.g., lymphoblastoid cell lines, induced pluripotent cell lines, fibroblasts) and further expand genetic and molecular characterization of patient populations with severe mental illness.

HNPP Fluorescent Detection Set

HNPP is a fluorescent substrate for alkaline phosphatase that enables sensitive detection of biomolecules. Upon dephosphorylation, HNPP produces a strongly fluorescent precipitate on membranes with a maximum of absorbance at 290nm and a maximum of fluorescence emission at 509nm. The dephosphorylated form of HNPP, HNP, alone possesses weak affinity to tissues and chromosome preparations. For in situ applications HNPP is coupled with the diazonium salt Fast Red TR.

Pannoramic Viewer

Software tool as a digital virtual microscope for viewing and moving scanned histological slides and for making annotations and measurements on them. Used in digital pathology. Helps to simplify the areas of the pathology workflow where imaging, slide digitization, storage, archivation, visualization and analysis are performed.

survival v2.40-1

Extending the Cox Model is aimed at researchers, practitioners, and graduate students who have some exposure to traditional methods of survival analysis. The emphasis is on semiparametric methods based on the proportional hazards model. The inclusion of examples with SAS and S-PLUS code will make the book accessible to most working statisticians.

HyPhy

Open source software package for comparative sequence analysis using stochastic evolutionary models. Used for analysis of genetic sequence data in particular the inference of natural selection using techniques in phylogenetics, molecular evolution, and machine learning.
